Adam and Dr. Drew open the show discussing the pivot in their broadcasting careers that lead to them exploring political policies. Adam also presents Dr. Drew with a theory about the relationship between oil producing nations and automobile creating nations. They then turn to the phones and speak with a caller with a harrowing childhood story. As the show wraps up they discuss the shift in messaging by California Governor Gavin Newsom when it comes to homelessness.

#1546 Being In The World

March 15, 2022

Dr. Drew opens the show telling Adam about a neuroscientist that he recently got to interview because he’s spent the last ten years studying Vladimir Putin, which is now wildly relevant. They also discuss that doctor’s realization that he fits a disturbing brain profile that he discovered accidentally while doing a controlled study. Later they turn to the phones and speak to a caller who has suffered from suicides around him and is wondering what’s being done to address the issue.

#1545 Imagine

March 13, 2022

Adam and Dr. Drew open the show discussing the emotional gravity of not having meaning and focus and things to do and accomplish. Adam also recounts the strong push about two decades back to bring music back to schools and points out that even then he was pushing to bring back shop classes. They also review recent remarks made by Vice President Kamala Harris as they carefully examine the language she uses during the remarks. Adam also questions the timing of those remarks as he points out that given the current geopolitical landscape we might be wise to take more of a wartime posture. As the show wraps up they explore some language from the CDC website as well as an NPR article from a few months ago.

#1544 He’s a Sex Machine

March 10, 2022

At the top of the show, the guys take a call about tinnitus, and the conversation turns to gas prices, Russia, and MSNBC. Adam then tells Drew about a recent trope he noticed while watching Three’s Company reruns on television, which leads to Drew commenting that he hasn’t been watching 70s TV for the last ten days or so. In order to catch him up, Adam shows him a particularly disturbing storyline from a 1982 episode of The Love Boat.
